Luster for hard candy, gummies and chocolate shells — fine, oil-friendly grades that survive the sugar boil and never migrate color.
Confectionery is the toughest test for any decoration: hard candy boils at high temperature, gummies set in hydrated gel matrices, and chocolate coatings demand fat-compatible, non-migrating color. A pigment that blooms, speckles or bleeds ruins the batch, not just the look.
Mica-based food-grade pearl is inert and heat-tolerant through normal candy processing, and fine oil-friendly cuts disperse through cocoa butter and fat coatings evenly. Apply into the coating while fluid for through-color, or dust surfaces before the shell sets for the strongest hold. Share a product photo and we qualify the right family and dosage for your line.
| Application | Recommended Product | Directional Size Range | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chocolate / CBE coating | Food Grade Pearl Pigment (fine) | < 30 µm (directional) | Disperses in cocoa butter / CBE, no grittiness; oil-dispersible preferred |
| Hard candy / crystallized sugar | Food Grade Pearl Pigment | 10-60 µm (directional) | Stable through cooking; confirm your boiling-temperature window with us |
| Gelatin / gummies | Food Grade Pearl Pigment | < 25 µm (directional) | Even dispersion, no visible grain in the gel matrix |
| Decorative sugar shells / dragees | Food Grade Pearl Pigment | 30-80 µm (directional) | Visible sparkle points; free-flowing for panning |
Yes. The mica-based pigment is inert and stable through normal sugar cooking; use a 10-60 µm directional cut for through-color and confirm your exact boiling-temperature window with us before the run — we qualify the grade on your process, not on paper.
Fine oil-dispersible grades (directional below 30 µm) disperse into cocoa butter or cocoa-butter-equivalents with no speckling or grittiness. Add while the coating is fluid; for surface effects, dust before the shell sets for the best hold.
Below 25 µm (directional) disperses evenly through the gel matrix with no visible grain. Coarser 30-80 µm cuts are reserved for decorative sugar shells and panned dragees where visible sparkle is the goal.
FDA / Kosher compliant; supporting documents available on request, and Halal-compliant (statement of conformity available). Packaging has passed SGS testing against EU PPWR. TDS, SDS and COA are provided lot-traceable.
Our food-grade pearl pigment offers a pearlescent decorative alternative to titanium-dioxide (E171)-based matte white in decorative formats. Both TiO₂-Free (E171-free) and standard TiO₂-coated mica routes are available, by model — tell us your market and we match the grade.
Sealed, cool and dry, away from direct sunlight; re-seal after opening. The anti-caking treatment keeps panning and dosing free-flowing even in warm production areas.
