Thermochromic Pigment Overview
Our thermochromic pigments are encapsulated in durable micro-capsules. They shift color or fade to colorless when heated and return to the original color when cooled, making them ideal for temperature-indicating and decorative effects.
How Thermochromic Pigment Works
Two reversible mechanisms are offered: color disappearing (one color to colorless) and color changing (one color to another). The transition temperature can be selected from a wide range between -5 °C and 78 °C.
Because the active material is protected inside a food-grade microcapsule shell, the pigment is compatible with inks, coatings, plastics, textiles, leather, cosmetics and craft applications.
