Photochromic Pigment Overview
Composed of micro-capsules, our photochromic pigments are colorless or lightly tinted indoors and turn vivid under UV exposure. The color fades back gradually after the light source is removed and the effect is repeatable.
How Photochromic Pigment Works
The pigment molecules undergo a reversible structural change under UV radiation. Indoors or in low-UV conditions the powder appears colorless or near-colorless; outdoors or under a UV lamp it develops a bright, saturated hue.
Typical uses include screen printing inks, spray coatings, leather and textile printing, plastic injection molding, cosmetic formulations, nail art and craft paints.
